EP. 3 – Who Makes the Knitwear for Maglificio di Verona?

Of course, we do.

Welcome to the third episode of our story, a journey that brings you a little closer to the heart of Maglificio di Verona each time.

Through this project, we are trying to show you what often remains behind the scenes: the hands, the gestures and the daily care that turn every one of our knitted garments into a small masterpiece.
Today, we take you inside our garment assembly department, where our seamstresses—with patience, precision and a meticulous eye—give every garment its final shape.

This is where the different pieces of a knitted garment begin to come together: the body, sleeves and neckline are carefully linked, stitch by stitch. Before this, however, every garment goes through the basting stage, a delicate process that takes place before pre-washing and requires considerable experience.

Garment assembly is meticulous work. It requires a trained eye, technical skill and a genuine love of detail.
After linking, we move on to the buttons, the neck labels—yes, every one of ours bears the Maglificio di Verona name—and even the fibre composition labels, those small labels showing the fibres and washing instructions: we produce all of them in-house.

Once the garment is complete, its journey continues in our laundry and pressing department.
Here, the knitwear is washed using gentle products—including, of course, Woolly, our specially developed detergent—before being carefully dried and pressed. Every stage is overseen by experienced hands: the same hands that transform our yarns into garments ready to be worn every day.

The garment assembly department is the final essential stage before each knitted garment can truly begin to tell its story. This is where the garment acquires its final identity and achieves its balance between shape, comfort and elegance.
