EP. 1 – Who Makes the Knitwear for Maglificio di Verona?

We are artisans, and we have been since 1975.

The story of Maglificio di Verona—our story—spans fifty years.

It is a story of an endless love for knitwear, fibres, yarns and the many ways in which they can be used.

It is also a story of strength and of obstacles—many obstacles—overcome throughout all these years.

At Maglificio di Verona, we have always loved beautiful things created with care and close attention to detail. Those who have followed us for some time know just how important these details are to us. We love creating knitwear designed to last, removed from the fleeting rules of fashion and, above all, made with purity and authenticity. This is how our latest project began.

In 2018, our own brand was created. I will certainly tell you more about its beginnings, philosophy and goals in a dedicated blog article.

Here, however, we want to focus on the reality of Maglificio di Verona as a brand and, above all, as a manufacturer. Because yes, we are artisans, and we have been since 1975.

So, who makes the knitwear for Maglificio di Verona?

It is one of the questions we are asked most frequently. The answer is: “Of course, we do.”

Every single garment bearing the Maglificio di Verona name is produced by us, here in Verona, inside our own knitwear factory.

We realised that we often take many things for granted, probably because they are simply part of our everyday working life.

We therefore created a short video series to take you behind the scenes of our working days, showing you each department of our company, episode by episode, and revealing how our knitwear is created.

Because yes, as well as producing our garments, we also design and develop them.

The world of Maglificio di Verona is truly extraordinary. We hope to show it to you, help you discover its most authentic side and encourage you to appreciate even more deeply the quality you choose every day with trust and affection.

This is the first episode of our series, created to take you behind the scenes of everyday life at Maglificio di Verona.

And we really do take care of everything, beginning with the creation and development of our collections.

We gather inspiration, study trends and draw the first sketches. We test ideas, discard them, develop them again and eventually approve them.

For every season, we select the colours, knitted stitches and patterns to present. We choose the shapes and details of every individual garment, together with its finishes and accessories, including buttons, bows and embroidery.

Our fashion department—spoiler: that is us—is responsible for designing and developing every collection bearing the Maglificio di Verona name.
